Origin - this is the name of the first hardware synthsizer from Arturia. Two hi-performance audio processors let the company transfer it's software "analogs" to a monster-looking hardware module.

 arturia origin

There's a modular system inside this little box, including copies af "all-time-synthesizers" — Moog Modular, ARP 2600, CS-80, Minimoog and Prophet VS. Modularity - that means you can literally take Prophet VS oscillators, Minimoog filters and Bode shifter from Moog Modular V and so, create you unique sound. The system is based on two powerful DSPs - Analog Devices TigerSHARC.

Any of the virtual-hardware synths might be used as a separate device. The Multi mode lets you to play 4 synths at a time, splitting or layering them or to use Origin to record 4 tracks in the sequencer. Macro mode is for simultaneous control of all 4 synthesizers. Also pay attention to the joystick used as a control device. Besides in-buily 16/32-step sequencer there's effects block including Phaser, Chorus, Delay, FX Reverbs, Distortion, Param Eq, Compressor, Bitcrusher.

New synthesizer is suggested for live use as well as for the studio integration as a plugin. Polyphony - 32 voices on typical patch . The will be 500 presets included, backwards compatible with previous Arturia synths. The device has 2 analog audio ins, 10 outs, digital out and USB 2.0 interface.
