Simple, but usable - inexpensive controllers, M-Audio among them, are sold as bundles, just like the KeyRig 49. The package consists of 4-octave controller KeyRig 49 and software Key Rig for PC and Ableton Live Lite M-Audio Enhanced Edition. The controller is awful simple - even no MIDI, just USB and sustain pedal jack. the front panel hosts pitch bend, modulation wheel, assignable, octave buttons. the unit is USB powered, works with Mac OS X or Windows XP with no driver needed. The KeyRig software offers a virtual rack with SP-1 piano, polyphonic synth MS-2, MB-3 organ and GM-4 module for GM sounds. Master section allows to combine upper mentioned. Also there's an effect section. Ableton Live Lite 6 M-Audio Enhanced Edition is offered as recording software to use in combination with Key Rig. The package will cost around $129.95. On the NAMM show M-Audio developers also presented software reincarnation of ancient string machines GForce Virtual String Machine and classic ARP Axxe emulator called KikAxxe. http://www...n_us/KeyRig49-focus.html |
