All the fans of «new old instruments» will be happy with this digital keyboard wondershown by Roland at NAMM show 2008. No other than digital harpsichord.
The Roland C-30 instrument implements all the digital features. There are four types of instruments inside including two classic harpsichords, French and Flemish, each of them equipped with 4 options: 8-foot I (back), 8-foot II (front), 4-foot (octave higher) and lute (buff mute). In addition there are early fortepiano and compact organ sounds. 61-key action mimics the classic pluck action of harpsichord. There are also a lot of tuning options avaliable, not to forget 128-voice polyphony and acceptable (if you believe the manufacturer) weight - 25 kg for instruments and 13 kg for the stand. One more time we look at the finish, the side panels with reproduction stained glass option look nice. Good job from the designers.
