Attention, please! New virus will spread over very quickly. You have to be ready. OK, jokes aside. The Virus TI Snow compact synth module is indeed presented at the NAMM show by Access Music.
The new Virus TI Snow (a reminder - the last keyboard 'virus' synth from Access was granted the Polar title) looks like small white module and reminds in some way Waldorf Blofeld still not avaliable to the masses (well, 'snofeld' forum neologism may be in some way right). As for features, besides compact package it's intuitive'n'easy interface, 100% patch compatible with Virus TI. Specs say – 50 voices polyphonic, 4 part multitimbral, 1024 patches (512 factory, 512 user), 64 multi performances. Oscillator types include virtual analog, hypersaw, wavetable and graintable. Filter section contains Moog cascade filter emulation with 1-4 poles. Effects include reverb, delay, eq, distortion, lo-fi effects, bass boost, phaser and chorus/flanger. The number of audio ouputs could be extended by three using (USB Virus Control plugin). The cost of «messenger bag synth» will be lowest among Viruses, but still 'access'-ish. Virus TI Snow price and avaliability - Spring 2008 and $1.350,00, €1100. After Sonicstate, Harmony Central |
