We get official start of the shipment of bigger 4-octave version of XioSynth mini synthesizer by Novation. 
According to Sonic State, 49-key XioSynth 49 has a semi-weighted action and eight-voice polyphony. It includes 200 factory programs, 32-step sequencer (X-Gator), which can be synchronized to MIDI-clock (same for arpeggiator). In addition XioSynth has a USB audio interface and MIDI controller functionality. The later is greatly supported by 16 templates suited for most popular audio editor/synth software (no driver needed for Win XP and Mac OS X). Audio interface supports fantom microphone recording. The Synth is also battery powered. The price for 49-key Novation XioSynth - around $450 ($350 for 25-key version). |
