A new compact entry-level digital piano is introduced by Yamaha before NAMM. ![]() Well, what do we have to say, Yamaha's now chasing Casio in lo-level segment. The latest P-series model called P85 has a sleek new design (somewhat reminds Privia). Technically speaking we have an increased polyphony (64 notes), improved (we believe) samples and also we have half-damper support at last and the metronome with recorder included. And this seems to be a good move from "trimmed" Yamaha P60 and P85's predessor P70. Oh, and the weight is also in some way "matched" - 11,6 kg (25 lbs). So we have a response here. The keyboard for this model is Yamaha's Graded Hammer Standard. The online shops and eBay already have offers on Yamaha P85 for the price of $600.
