Summer NAMM forum is of much less fever. But still something interestiong products here - compact sound module from Roland. SonicCell has so-called "desktop" form-factor. Kinda little box with Roland sounds inside. The main feature is, of course, two SRX expansion slots. Also USB audio interface and ability to play MIDI files (SMF) and WAV/AIFF/MP3. The module can act as "your virtual band". You just have to create playlist on your computer, transfer onto USB flash drive and use later on the concert with SonicCell. Todays' online shop price for module is around $800. More info: |
