The Sonicstate again comes up with a very interesting voting. After defining the top 20 greatest synths of all the time (see here), the next stop is at the samplers.
The first act tells us about the legend named Emulator 2, coming after first Emulator. A historical misprint - the release date for latter was like... 1881 on Sonicstate. :) Well, sampling's still alive, I slept with h... sorry. Besides the sampling serial they have a promising Top 20 Weirdest Instruments voting, which suits for almost everything. Well, we'll see in some time...
