On the NAMM threshold there are a few news. But at the moment we have some info about new Yamaha Motif models. New instruments with the XS index, fully named XS6, XS7 и XS8, are equipped with four indepentent arpeggiators, 8 control sliders and 8 knobs. All the models have big color LCD. Besides sequencer and sampler with 1 GB of optional memory there's also a "Studio-style mixing environment with Virtual Circuitry Modeling effects" (wow, hit me). And the new Xpanded Articulation Synth engine with 355 МБ of wave memory is also onboard, being the main new feature. Hope, it cost it's $2799 for 61-key Motif XS6, $3539 for 76-key Motif XS7 and $3999 for the top 88-key hammer action Motif XS8.
